Mark C. Johnson
Mark Johnson is a third-generation real estate developer and founder of Acclaim Companies, a boutique development firm delivering best-in-class projects in supply-constrained markets across the San Francisco Peninsula and North Bay. He combines hands-on construction expertise with institutional development experience, leading projects from entitlement through completion with a deep understanding of both field operations and strategic execution. His background includes general contracting and directing large-scale, mixed-use, and multifamily developments in some of the Bay Area’s most complex jurisdictions. Before founding Acclaim in 1997, Mark worked with Hines Interests in San Francisco and led a homebuilding company in San Antonio, Texas. He holds a BA and MBA from Brigham Young University and has overseen the development, acquisition, and management of more than 1,200 residential units.
Gary Johnson
Gary believes that open and transparent collaboration is the foundation for creating and delivering outstanding development projects. He is involved in all aspects of the business including entitlement, community outreach, development, acquisitions, and financing. Prior to joining Acclaim, Gary worked for three years as an Associate for Gold Hill Capital, a $250 million venture fund, where he underwrote early stage technology investments. Prior to Gold Hill, Gary was an outfielder in the Anaheim Angels organization. Gary has a BA from U.C. Berkeley and an MBA from The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
